Kristen Khetan,
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Kristen Khetan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents, adults, and older adults throughout Texas. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported, and works collaboratively to develop personalized treatment plans that address each individual's unique needs and goals.
Kristen earned her Bachelor of Health from Texas A&M University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University.
Throughout her career, Kristen has cared for patients from diverse backgrounds and across all stages of life. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), insomnia, dementia, excessive anger and emotional dysregulation, and postpartum mental health concerns. Her approach focuses on treating the whole person and using the lowest effective amount of medication when appropriate, alongside evidence-based, patient-centered care.
When she's not caring for patients, Kristen enjoys spending time with her two young children, who are the center of her world and keep her on her toes every day. Becoming a mother has given her a deeper appreciation for the importance of compassion, patience, and truly listening to others. It has shaped not only her perspective on life, but also the empathy and understanding she brings to each patient encounter.
